This guide was adapted from a similar guide the University of Manitoba’s OER by Discipline Guide. created by the UManitoba Libraries OER Committee comprised of contributors Janice Winkler, Nicole Askin, Ashley Huot, Asako Yoshida, Kyle Feenstra, and Katrin Nielsdottir.

This adapted guide by the members of the OER Support Team at UCalgary’s Libraries and Cultural Resources has reorganized the content to reflect the structure of the University of Calgary, and incorporated additional resources and content from other similar Canadian guides including BCcampus, edited by Lauri M. Aesoph and Josie Gray, McMaster University, created by Joanne Kehoe and Olga Perkovic, University of Ottawa version 1.0, created by Mélanie Brunet, and University of Ottawa version 2.0, created by Mélanie Brunet and Catherine Lachaîne.

Thanks to their work and decision to share these guides under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) Licence, this has allowed us to adapt them to suit our own institution.
