B. Steps to Writing a Thank-You Note

After an interview, send a short thank-you email to the interviewer. This is polite. The email helps the interviewer remember you. The email shows your interest in the job.

You can send your thank-you note by email. Get an email address before you leave the interview.

Here are the steps:

  1. Thank the interviewer for their time. Do this at the beginning and the end of the email.
  2. Say that you enjoyed the interview.
  3. Say that you enjoyed learning about the company.
  4. Briefly say why you are the right person for the job.

Read the following email. Do you see where the writer followed the above steps? Drag and drop the labels on the email.
