Critical Thinking

The subsequent chapters will define critical and creative thinking. At the heart of critical thinking is questioning. Questioning helps individuals reach a deeper level of knowledge, and supports enduring knowledge. As you can imagine, deep and enduring knowledge is important to nurses life-long practice. When in the clinical setting, you will often find that there are more questions than answers, and that looking for answers will help you choose the best plan of care for each individual and unique client.
