Communication is adapted from various published resources but mostly from a work produced and distributed under a Creative Commons licence (CC BY-NC-SA) by a publisher who has requested that they and the original author not receive attribution. Some chapters have remained similar to the original text, while others have been altered greatly in order to work with the Introduction to Communication Course at NorQuest College. This adaptation has reformatted the original text as needed, added content from other resources, included original writing, replaced images and figures, and added review activities to make the resulting whole more shareable. The APA Style Citation Tutorial is created by staff at the University of Alberta Library to support students and faculty in EDU 100/300 courses in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. The tutorial covers why it is important to use citations, elements of common source types, and how to create reference and in-text citations based on the 7th edition APA guidelines. The sources and activities throughout the tutorial focus on educational content. This tutorial can also be used as a reference resource. The APA Style Citation Tutorial is an adaptation of the Introduction to APA Library Tutorials by NorQuest College Library. They provided resources and support for the creation of this tutorial.

Topics covered include physical vs. digital collections; the impact of BookTok on collections; challenges to 2SLGBTQ+ collections ; ebook licensing; ebook pricing; accessible collections for users with physical disabilities; accessible collections for users with invisible disabilities; “just in time”/demand-driven acquisitions; climate change and collections and research data collections.

This book explores the essential aspects of machine shop operations, focusing on the foundational skills required. It encompasses the operation of manual machining equipment and the reading of precision measurement tools.

An introduction to philosophy with selections on metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, and logic. The emphasis is on exposing students to important philosophers and issues in philosophy. Chapters include multiple choice questions to test reading comprehension.

Because of constraints such as time, money, knowledge, and familiarity, post-secondary students may experience difficulty with managing time, coping with multiple demands, managing money, and completing hands-on manual tasks like using tools. Life skills training modules can prepare students to overcome these challenges with useful, practical information, tips, and guidance to help students be healthy today and in their future careers. While specifically targeting therapy assistant students, the content can also be helpful for post-secondary students in other programs.

Modules include Performance Management: life skills for performing at one’s best in school and the workplace; Money Management: basic money management skills; and Manual Skills: hands-on life skills such as food and kitchen safety, kitchen tools, cooking and baking techniques, sewing, and use of tools. The modules may be helpful for college students, educators, or anyone with an interest in life skills.
